Omgosh it's been close to..6 months since I last blogged? Loads of things happened (as expected) but oh wells, some things are better left unsaid in my opinion. (Well, I didn't say unwritten, so technically...yeah I'm still at fault. Sorry!)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;Sometimes I really wonder if anyone really reads my blog...sometimes I hope someone will read it (everyone wants some form of care and attention at some point and I'm not excluded), but sometimes I hope no one would. It's...contradicting I know, but I don't know how to put it...haha..hmm like if there's something you want to address specifically to someone but it's hard to put it directly into the person's face then I think that's when you want it to be read? But sometimes you might just want to rant about something and probably that's when you don't really want a specific someone to read...haha don't get me wrong, I'm not discouraging any of you peeps from reading! (I mean, very very very few people know about this blog...like...very very very very very few..haha..which is a good thing and I kinda intend to keep it that way!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;Anyhow, the title just jumps out at you, doesn't it? And why of all things talk about something to serious and bleh after 6 months of idling? Precisely because I have been idling that's why I needed to get back!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;This 6 months was a very good time for me to take a break and think through things again. To get back on track with what I plan to do with my life, and to see if it has gotten the approval stamp. And you know what? To plan is one thing. To execute is another. You may have all the fanciful plans in your head but if you do not put in any effort to realise it, it's gonna just be another fleeting dream. Sounds like civic and moral education/Pastoral care/sermon-ish? I know. But it's so true. EVERYTHING in life boils down to that. Let me show you how. (By the way, I just got all these thoughts while I was in the shower at 2am in the morning. HAHAHA)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;My proposition: Obedience and discipline goes hand in hand. You can't obey something/someone without discipline. Obedience is not just in thought but in action as well. Say you want to obey God. But you wanting to and you actually doing it are two separate things. And why do you need discipline to obey? Because obedience is generally difficult. Obedience is something that is humbling, something that may go against your own will/wishes, something that basically might be uncomfortable. God tells you to go on the narrow path, but we choose to travel on the wider road because it's easier. Let's face it, humans are plain lazy. I'm no exception. I know I used to be more disciplined when I was younger (looking back at how much time and effort I put into piano/music/studies and all), but not so much these days. I guess it's also because humans are tired easily. In other words, we are weak. We are weak not only in strength, but mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I guess we may be stronger or weaker relative to others, there may be a huge variance across the quantities (if even quantifiable) of these variables, but we are still weak. Why else do we fail in what we set out to do? (Not always, but don't tell me you have never failed in anything you have set out to do) Why else do we sin? Why else do we end up regretting and feeling guilty? That's because we failed to discipline ourselves to focus. And as you can see, it's a vicious cycle. weak &amp;gt; no discipline (can't discipline ourselves) &amp;gt; disobey &amp;gt; fail &amp;gt; become weak again. Or, you can start at no discipline (since that's how Adam and Eve started anyway.) No discipline &amp;gt; disobey &amp;gt; fail badly &amp;gt; cry (Optional) &amp;gt; throw bitch fit (also optional) &amp;gt; commit suicide (also optional, but that's sin) &amp;gt; weak. Oh my gosh. WHYYYYYY.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;I guess I just inevitably answered the question many people ask. Why is life so hard? Life is hard because see the above mentioned. It's not the only answer, definitely not, but it is a factor. Yes. Life is hard. But to live is Christ and to die is gain. Either way, it's supposed to be a win-win situation. Supposed to be, but it's hard in reality. Why? Because sometimes it's tiring to live. It's tiring to live when circumstances aren't exactly in your favour. That is when crunch time comes. You either 'bite tight teeth gums' or give up. That is when you resolve to be discipline and tell yourself, yes, this period is shit, but shit comes and shit goes. You can't be constipated for too long, and you can't have diarrhoea for too long either (Such a nicely gross example). Good times can't last, but so do bad times. Everyone has to go through both. But I reckon, that the age old remedy is still better. No pain no gain, right? So no discipline, no enjoyment. If you decide to be more disciplined in whatever you set out to do, chances are, you won't be as disappointed as compared to if you didn't. So in order to increase happiness on earth, you must increase discipline, which can be a pain sometimes. so no pain, no gain. Of course there are many more. Feel free to contribute here if you wish (: Again, the causal link is sometimes very subtle, and you might argue that it may not necessarily lead to happiness as shown above, but you can replace it with satisfaction/blah anything that is positive I guess. And I know the models above look a bit to simplified and idealistic, but I think you know where I am getting to. In general, it's kinda like that.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;In the bible, life is described as a race. A marathon. "I press on towards the goal" "heaven-ward" are some phrases you will see. If that's the case, isn't it obvious that you need discipline to run the race? Who runs a race to lose? You snooze you lose man. And God knows it's tiring. That's why there's a huge prize at the end of it. The key thing is not to lose focus/procrastinate/run off track/get distracted by the things on earth. Sadly, the runners of this race are humans, so you can expect to see some pretty interesting stuff that lie in their paths. It's one narrow road we're supposed to run on as prescribed by the many laws in the bible, but sometimes we choose to construct our own paths and set our own rules of the game, and we find that we end up nowhere except with something that looks like mid-life crisis at some point later. That, is not what we want, isn't it?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"&gt;Sometimes, people say I'm so uptight. Why do I plan my career, future, blah blah blah. It's because if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. If you do certain things that cause you to regret, and you have that knowledge in the present, then you would be a foolish idiot/idiotic fool to carry on doing it. Btw, I used that mini 'threat' (okay, it's not really a threat, more like a reminder of sorts) to force myself to do something I don't really feel like doing. ie studying, waking up at 730am to go to church and practice for worship...things like that.) And I must say, it has served me well for at least ...until recently. Until recently I had this great humble discovery that I am humanly weak, that my resolve is not as strong as I thought it should be...in other words, I failed to keep with that discipline. I erred, I didn't like it because I felt like a stupid idiotic foolish piece of crap. Yes, I am very harsh with myself, which explains why I'm a perfectionist. Can you imagine how horrible failure is to me? It's like having a criminal record. It's like having a red mark on your grade slip. It's like having a black mark on your school record. It's like...you get the idea. Trust me, sometimes being a perfectionist is suicide. You can kill yourself by just being one. I was skype with nana and she said something to the effect that I should train myself to stop thinking about things too much. And I agree with her. The word 'training' is such an apt description. It just ties in with the motive of discipline again. And I was reminded in Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins." This was comforting. But you have to move past that and learn to forgive yourself. I have to learn how to forgive myself and be kind to myself. I've always demanded a lot out of myself. That's not to say I don't enjoy life and everything in it, but I want to give my best shot at my own one chance on Earth. I am born a performer - musically, and dramatically as well (haha I meant, you know, drama) I want to perform well on earth. Not just as an act, but for real. That is why I treat things seriously. And it's tiring. I guess that's why I find myself slipping sometimes. I hate to let myself down. I hate to let God down. But I guess it God knows my limited capabilities, I should do myself a favour and acknowledge them too, instead of trying to kill myself doing unattainable things. That is not to encourage slacking or being contented with just what you have. I still believe that one should push beyond their natural boundaries for the sky is the limit (yeah, idealistic and naive right) but recognize that at the end of the day, you are only human. Side note: Have you ever realised that as you grow older, you become more pessimistic and less idealistic? Firstly, happy birthday to you! For us humans, we celebrate your birth because we know that you have come to save us. But for you Father, I know ultimately you are happy too because you know that your Son is finally on Earth to start his mission, but I don't know if you feel a bit sad too because you know His ultimate destiny. With what mental faculties I have that you have given to me to rationalize things, I can only stand in awe of your plan, and attempt not to try and understand things with the kind of wisdom you possess - the universe, the ultimate globe-saving plan, and the plans that you have for each individuals on the surface of the Earth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Secondly Lord, I miss you. I know that my life has been so hectic and crazy and all that I have diverted my attention away from you towards these things, and for that, I am really really really really sorry. I remembered last Sunday while singing "Great is the Lord". Like I actually yearn to want to be there because I was somewhere else. "And Lord we want to thank you, for the works you've done in our lives"&amp;nbsp;totally spoke to me.&amp;nbsp;With this recent incident that happened, it is easy for me to want to blame&amp;nbsp;You for not being there to salvage the situation and all - to accuse&amp;nbsp;You of not loving me as much. But I know Lord, that&amp;nbsp;no one else&amp;nbsp;out there&amp;nbsp;can ever love me as much as You, and therefore, you gave me this experience for a reason.&amp;nbsp;I don't know&amp;nbsp;exactly what reason that is but I know it is for&amp;nbsp;my good. And I know that it is in the darkest times that I have to remind myself of everything you have said - and I will do so now. You said in Jer 29:11-13 'For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. &lt;sup class="versenum" id="en-NIV-19648"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/sup&gt; Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. &lt;sup class="versenum" id="en-NIV-19649"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;13&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/sup&gt; You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.' Romans 8:28 says "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Lord, you know I love You. I want You to be the centre of my life again. Help me to realign my priorities. Please remind me that whatever you have planned for me will work out for my good, even though it seems otherwise right now. I trust You.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A lot of things are running through my head, and even before they came to my mind, you have already perceived them. Okay, something lame but, last Christmas, I gave someone my heart, but the very next year, they gave it away, this year to save me from tears, I'll give it to You - the most High God. And I entrust it to You Lord, knowing that You will keep it safe for me until the right person comes along. And when he does, I pray that You will grant me the wisdom and knowledge to know who it is, and how to react. Until then, I pray Lord that you prepare me to be the person You want me to be, and that you also prepare him to be the person You want him to be. Yes Lord, I know I was so disappointed to the extent that I do not want to be involved in a relationship again, but I know that it shouldn't be the case because in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." So Lord, You take the wheel in my life - because I know that I can't do it alone. Actually, it's not that I forget to, it's just that I'm too busy too. No, I mean seriously, Law school is killing me!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So let's see, last Monday there was a NDP celebration at the Tank (Haydon Allen), where the parade was screen live from Channelnewsasia. I didn't go though, because I've seent the parade so many times already (on TV though, of course), and there was an International event ath Jun was holding. She baked (together with Pei), brownies and cookies and I helped to organize stuff and brought them down to the Chafe. I couldn't help though cuz the past weekend was really too hectic. Daniel's bdae celebration on the Friday before, and thus I had to spend my Saturday and Sunday reading FAL. Oh man, I neglect Contracts just for FAL because there're only lectures for Contracts - so no participation, but for FAL there's a&amp;nbsp;2 hour dreaded seminar on Thursdays. How exciting. And it's like on top of the readings for the seminar (which can go up to like 50 pages long?), we've assignments to do as well, and also an online learning (more readings, hurray) thingy. And all these are for FAL. Gosh, I wonder how I'm gonna survive for Contracts. My summaries aren't even done! Anyway, back to the main topic. Yeah, so we ate our mini supper (with awesome hot chocolate), and then I headed back to my room to study again. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then came Tuesday. I had 3 hours worth of lecture. 1 hour of stats, 2 hours of Finance. I only attended the last 15 mins of stats (it's useless), and then I sat through the other 2 hours of Finance. Thinking of applying for the Chartered Accountants internship programmes, but I've got a feeling that I'll kill myself since I'm&amp;nbsp;also thinking of interning for law. Too ambitious again. After that I went to buy bananas. They are really awesome cuz they help me shit. Okay, that's too crude. Hmm, let's say that they aid my bowel movement. Ah, more 'nice-sounding'. Anyway, I dropped by Cotton On and got 2 pairs of flats from Rubi! One blue, one black. Blue black. Hahaha, lame. Anyway, the blue one cost only $5, while the black one was $15 (boohoo). So overall it's $20. Okay lah. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wednesday. Skipped stats lecture again because it was 9am in the morning. Went for my Finance tut at 12pm, and I got back the results for my quiz. THANK GOD! I had full marks (: I really thought I was going to die. But my God is a God of miracles. Don't play play! Then we had to do another quiz again. Hope I do fine! After that we visited the Magistrate's Court. (We = Angela, Tiffany, Ignatious and me) It was on family violence. Interesting but boring. I mean, interesting in the sense that the proceedings were kinda new and fresh to you, but boring because it's all admin, mundane stuff. Geez. Had to present it tomorrow in class!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thursday. OH NOOO. FAL seminar day. siann. Thank God I could keep up with the content of the seminar. It was insane! And&amp;nbsp;we didn't get to present because we ran out of time. Oh wells. Good and bad -.-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Friday. (Whew, at least Thursday's overrr!) I had Contracts tut at 10am. My tutor, Helen Saunders, was insane. She's mad enthusiastic about Law. I mean, yeah, sure, she should be but to the extent of saying "Oh, I love Lord Denning". I don't know, but I tend to feel that judges are very impersonal characters to me. Maybe she knows him personally, I don't know. But I know that she and Miriam Gani loves Kirby J. Man. and I still asked Miriam if Kirby J's still alive. Digging my own grave. After that, I went to Bruce Hall to have LAKSA with Bee and Kelly. Awesome! I think I might just do that every Friday. Then I showed off a bit at the piano (at Bruce! Hah!), painted Bee's nails, then went to DFO real late (we reached there at 5pm!). We slept on the bus and missed the stop! Thank God the bus driver was nice enough to stop us by the roadside (the traffic lights were red). And then we began the hunt. 2 more ballet flats! A brown super comfy one, and a silver one. Oh, I bought a maxi dress, a checkered blue long sleeve shirt, and a I-don't-know-what-you-call-that sleeveless black top. As in, it's like you can't just wear it by itself without revealing your bra, so you probably got to wear&amp;nbsp;a tank top/spaghetti inside, and there are drawstrings at the waist as well. Hmm. wonder what it's actual name is. But who cares. It's 3 for $10 for those 3 pieces and I'm over the moon! Went back and did laundry (ah, anti-climax).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saturday - laundry day part 2. Washed my sheets and duvet cover because I felt that it's time to leave my bed after being there for..hmm..3-4 weeks? haha hey it's winter! okay, so I'm lazily dirty. Went to Civic to buy Pei a blender for her housewarming and was late by...an hour? Gosh I felt so bad. Anyway, there was curry chicken, quiche, bah kut teh (yay!), and yeah. Awesome! Then I went back at around 2pm, and tried to study. Failed. Called Angela at 4.15pm to go to Civic to shop. We did, until like close to 6plus? yeah. Bought yogurt while Angela bought hundred dollars worth of grocery. haha. I'm glad I'm at Burgmann :P Anyway, it was too dark and I was afraid to walk back to Burgmann, so I decided to camp at her house (: Ate some curry rice, and drank red bean milk!! Yummm. Before that I already had Cookies and Cream from Baskin Robbins, plus a Twix bar from Angela. Gosh, how am I supposed to stay in shape?! So yeah, slept kinda early cuz I was tired. And my period just had to come. So sian. Oh, and talked to Wendy (Angela's roommate). She's really nice. Secretary of AFEC. Anyway, we just talked a lot and I told her about switchin from Finance to Actuarial. Not sure if I have to do summer school every year to obtain the exemption from external exams for practice!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sunday: Oh man, I didn't go to church. I'm sorry God, I promise to go for the Wednesday 7pm one at the Chapel in Burgmann! Anyway, went back from Angela's at around 10.30am? Washed up, brushed teeth, got down to finish reading my casenote. Finish reading only.&amp;nbsp;Haven't started writing it yettt!! AND IT'S DUE 23 AUG!! GOD HELP ME!! Anyway, had lunch, continued reading, went to nap for a while, had dinner, contemplated playing for Burgmann Concert. Didn't even sign up! Alex and I crashed the event and we were like "Sorry, but can we perform?" And we both did. We were all jittery and nervous, but we knew that if we didn't, we wouldn't be able to sleep properly tonight cuz we'll be regretting like mad, which means that we won't be awake for tomorrow's Contracts lectures! hah! So i made up some stupid reason like, I feel old, finally it's my first semester in uni, let's feel young again. And I played Super Mario. Geez, I was so nervous, it was so cold, and I made a couple of random mistakes ): After that, I played Toploader's Dancing in the Moonlight. I know, random right? Cuz I wanted to tell the audience to chillax and stop thinking about the casenote due soon (Right, I know it's kinda more to myself but whatever). Plus, I heard it down my corridor some x number of days ago. Yeah. Then I went up to read my casenote. Then went down to the computer lab to print Stats notes for tmr's lecture, as well as the assignment for FAL (2008 sample version). And I'm up hear, listening to last Thursday's Contracts lecture because I missed it (hey I was doing FAL!), and I decided that I wanted to blog everything down in case I forget! But yeah. Anyway, I just returned from Church Camp at The Legend Hotel in KL which spanned from 16-19 June. Yeah. Well let's just start from the previuos week, shall we?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"&gt;Okay, so on Monday I met CJ at Vivo, (I actually cabbed there cause I was going to be superr late) at about 3pm because my grandma had&amp;nbsp;a doctor's appointment in the morning. And for some reason, I haven't been really able to sleep well the past few days (meaning 2 weeks ago) and I was really exausted. I crashed in my grandma's house for a couple of hours before meeting her in Vivo to get&amp;nbsp;a dress that she was interested in getting. It was a really cute maxi dress which she saw online, and she was debating whether to get the one with the bright leopard prints or the dull floral prints. Well I gave my opinion to her, saying that the brighter prints stand out more and was more attractive. The price was atrocious though. It was like..hmm $80 I think? But then again it's River Island so oh wells. After which we went to Daiso and got some fake nails before proceeding to her house. We went there and I painted her nails. (Sorry Ally, you know I &amp;lt;3 you!) Yeah, cuz we're supposed to meet at 730pm, and she said she knocked off early and was there around 7pm, and I met her only at 830pm. Really sorryyy! And then we had Mos burger and Koi cafe!! yumms. She then stayed over at my house and she had to leave like wayy early tomorrow to get to her office. And I really have to apologize to her because it's really not fair to her. I mean, I made her wait a lot of times. I was on the phone for like super long quarreling with someone whom I shouldn't be, and totally wasting her time. I'll make it up to you Ally, I promise! I mean, I know that I tend to think a lot and I do get bogged down by the stuff that runs through my mind - and I definitely need reminders to not fret about the future because then we miss living in the moment. Something that I have tried hard to stick constantly - it's tough, but when I am reminded that I would only be wasting my precious time in the present, I guess it's a little easier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I want/need confirmations and guarantees. I hate uncertainties (who doesn't?). I want someone who would go through chocolate and cow dung with me - I know I have God and He is enough for me, but someone physical, tangible as well. haha you all get the point, don't you? The last post was...hmm 1 March? Geez I ought to be ashemed of myself. Well April has been an eventful month. I got to go for a short trip with my friends to Redang Island in Malaysia, which is a super duper awesome place with the kind of scenery you find on screensavers (: Basically I spent about 3 days 2 nights there snorkeling, playing beach sports, relaxing and yeah. I'm super scared about becoming tanner than I already am thus I kinda spammed sunblock. (I still got tanner though, boohoo) Well yeah, at least there wasn't the horrible skin-peeling to endure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On 26 April onwards, I've been accompanying my grandma in and out of hospitals. Well, she has stage 4 lung cancer. I don't really want to repeat the whole story again, so you can read all about it at &lt;a href="http://i-love-my-grandma.blogspot.com/"&gt;http://i-love-my-grandma.blogspot.com/&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;. Of course I'm sad and all - I've counted the number of days I've cried consecutively and it happens to surpass the number of fingers I have on&amp;nbsp;both of my hands. Maybe cause, as a friend mentioned before, that my&amp;nbsp;tear ducts are just more active than the normal person, or that well, my&amp;nbsp;grandma is&amp;nbsp;one of the closest to me. I love her&amp;nbsp;dearly - she's the one who took care of me since I was&amp;nbsp;a baby. And I just feel so helpless not being able to do anything for her except to be by her side.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, today's a&amp;nbsp;Saturday, so I'm back to being the Maria by vacuuming the house. Really exhausted. This whole week and the week before has been physically, emotionally and mentally draining. But I have to constantly remind myself of what&amp;nbsp;my Physics teacher Mr LKL always says -&amp;nbsp;"Life goes on". Because as harsh as it sounds, it really does. I was also reminded of this by my piano teacher whom I just went out with on Thursday. She's really cool - she's a teacher, mentor, yet a really nice friend to me. (Honestly, how many piano students out there can seriously have such a cool teacher?) We went to J8, and I recommended her to Koi Cafe bubble tea (: We met XY there, who's working at Yami Yoghurt. After which I visited my grandma and ended up just sleeping the evening off like a pig. Then came Friday (yesterday), where I went out with my aunt to get a haircut at Kim Robinson. Freaking ex, I know - it's only my aunt who would actually splurge that kinda money on me. Oh wait, I think that was the previous Kim Robinson at Millenia Walk. I heard they changed the management in charge. Was it Magnifique or something like that? Not sure. But anyway yeah. My hair doesn't look so awkward like it did before. Why, you ask? Because I decided to be a smart-aleck and got my cut at QB house - the $10 for 10 minutes haircut. Mind you, I was the only girl in the queue - probably cause all girls know that that place is only for guys ('anyhow cut also can nvm one la' kind of mentality I guess?) Yeah, and the hairstylist, no hairchopper, just cut my hair till IMO, I&amp;nbsp;looked like a recipient of some poodle-inspired hairstyle. Blehhs. Anyway, I've got too many things to tell - I'm afraid that I even can't recall what I did the entire February. I shall hence attempt to do it in point form. (:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1st - 5th Feb:&lt;br /&gt;I was in Kalimantan on a mission trip to Silat, and there were many things that happened. It was fun to worship God together with the rest of the villagers, although the language barrier was really irritating sometimes. They don't know any English, and my Bahasa is CMI. Before I went on the ferry to Batam, I took Malaria pills on an empty stomache. I didn't really think that it was empty at that time because I took the pills at 9:30am and my breakfast was at 7:30am. Probably my food had been digested already because I was feeling nauseous and queasy. I stood at the jetty and PUKED OUT everything. Everything that came out was green (the pills) and brown (Milo that I took to try to force whatever that was coming out back inside - which obviously didn't work). Freaking gross. And on top of that, I was already down with flu, cough, sore throat and whatnots. For the 5 days I was telling myself not to allow my illness to affect my mood, morale, and work done over in Kalimantan. The weather there was freaking hot and humid - worse than Singapore! Oh and we bathed in a pond! haha It was raining the first time we jumped into the pond and I was thinking - shucks, I'm already ill, do I want to make matters worse by going into the water with rain pouring down on me? And I was like heck la, I'm only here now and I don't know when I'm coming back so just jump! So apart from these little things, I must say that the trip was really an eye opener. God was good - He did what He promised in His word and I am amazed because everything that was mentioned in the Bible was like a live demonstration over there. People were delivered from unclean 'things', and I had the privilege of praying for two people who got healed! One was a lady that suffered some pain in her right ankle. She didn't say that she was experiencing pain; instead Uncle Daniel had a word that said that there was&amp;nbsp;a woman with that condition. So I went over with a few of my friends to pray for her. While praying, one of us felt that she was also heartbroken&amp;nbsp;- that she had been bottling her troubles inside herself, and we prayed for her to release everything. We prayed in tongues first, and later, I started praying in English. As I did that, she started crying; like she really understood the words that were coming out of my mouth. At that point I knew that God was really speaking to her. After that, I&amp;nbsp;asked if the pain persisted by pointing to her right ankle and asking, "Ini sakit?" ("Is it painful?"), then she shook her head and replied "ta dah" (meaning "no" in Bahasa. Don't exactly know the spelling :P) Yup. And then she told me that her anak-anak ("child") had a broken nose. So we prayed for him as well and immediately he was healed! It was really a miracle - I mean, it's definitely not our effort. We're humans just like them. But I know that the God that created the whole world, who has power and dominion over everything, has the authority to do everything and anything. Including healing the sick. Yup! And that's my very personal encounter over there. I won't really talk too much about the deliverance part..don't want to scare you all away :P (Of course if you all are really curious you can just ask me and I'll tell you la!) Oh just so you know, the 'you all' that I am referring to here are a very small group of people. Very small. And only they know about this blog because they're my closest friends. You know who you are (:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(7 Feb to hmm..CNY's eve I think)&lt;br /&gt;Was working in a manicure shop at Concorder Hotel for a very nice middle-aged lady by the name of Alice. She's realllly nice. And because of that, people actually take advantage of her. Anyway, yeah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(14-16 Feb)&lt;br /&gt;Chinese New Year! What more can I say? Visiting, visiting, eating, more visiting (: Was really happy!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(19 Feb - present)&lt;br /&gt;Went back to work at the law firm. Found out that I kinda like it (: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Other news - Got into ANU law! haha actually it's Law/Finance double degree but if I want to practice in Singapore then I can only take Law as&amp;nbsp;a&amp;nbsp;single degree. That's what Ministry of Law says. Oh and after re-marking my English paper, I jumped one grade from a 5 to a 6! Haha so I&amp;nbsp;now have 39 points. Not 40 (boohoo), but I should be grateful la! Yup. My brother's starting school soon in Australia - I think in March, and if my parents can't manage to find a homestay for my brother then I might have to go over to look after him until my term starts in&amp;nbsp;July. Absolutely no way! nonononononno. Aiya anyway, my mom's considering the option of letting me study in Singapore, so now I have to get my lazy bum off and start applying for Singapore universities again. Oh wells. My boss (law firm) is a super cool person. I was like Auntie Sam, I'm going clubbing tonight and I'm going out with my friend tomorrow so I won't be coming in okay? And she's like Okay, enjoy yourself alright? Cool right! And she invited me for&amp;nbsp;a company lunch (Wow. And I'm not even a regular staff) and treated us to some really good food in this Chinese restaurant. Even had champagne and sake! hahaha. And we were on the topic of exercise and she's like hey Charmaine, are you free on Tuesday? Why not I bring you to a trial yoga class? Cool right! wah, where to find a boss like that. heehee! Oh and ya, I really went clubbing on 24 Feb, Wednesday, cuz it's ladies' night, and the feelin's right...oh what a crazy mind-boggling insane but fun night it was! haha yeah. Hmm. I think I'll leave you the details for some other time - don't want to spoil the fun for those who haven't been there yet and also..well..to kinda protect my reputation :P haha nah just kidding. You all know that I didn't have a reputation a long time ago! Haha just kidding! I'm a freaking guai-kia please! Anyway, yeah Ben, Sheena and CX knows everything already so well, I can't really hide haha!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I need to sleep now, will write more when I have time, energy and memory. I know. Late post again. Sorry la, people busy playing can? Haha anyway, yeah happy super belated new year! It's a start of a new decade! Think about it, don't you think that we're quite fortunate to have lived to cross over from one millenium to another, and now to see a new decade? Well the new decade thing is not so fantabulous unless the average human live span is 10 years. Which of course, is not true, but there are people who do not live to see themselves on earth for at least 10 years. But anyway, this thing called life is super fragile, and you can't plan how long you live and what you'll be doing most of the time (almost), so let's just live life to the fullest with no regrets because you only live on this planet once. I know you already know that (:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ok, I owe you a lot of assignments. Actually I've written the music to the song I mentioned in the older post already, but I'm thinking of getting a band to perform it, instead of just me at the piano. Maybe I should do two versions - one with piano only and another with a band. Aiya for fun la, just want to hear how to sounds like. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh and I made a new earring! Also too lazy to post. Haven't updated my shop in a reallly long time. Gahhh. So. Today I started my day well my meeting my aunt and grandma for dim sum at Toa Payoh's Forunate Restaurant. Yummm! Sorry for not taking any pictures; still not into that habit yet. Anyway, we ordered my favourite char siew shu which I fell in love with in Secondary School, jellyfish, chicken feet, pork ribs, siew mai, har gao, fried wanton, fried carrot cake, char siew bao, and some others I can't remember. Oh my, dim sum! It's reallly good. BUT it's bad for me because I'm supposed to be on my "after IB" diet. Which I've successfully blown for days already. GOSH! okok, I'll really promise to get back on track like hmm...after Christmas? Haha that's way too long! Hiya, let me enjoy a bit laa..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After which I met Ally at Orchard, and we headed to Far East to shop! She bought a really cute dress which she's going to wear with her darling Nat and as for me, I already bought a shirt dress and a bag so yup (: Then we went over to Milly's to get our nails done! I know, shocking right? The cheapo in me actually succumbed to the temptation of having my nails done instead of doing it myself! Ok, everyone has a right to be pensive at times, to take time and ponder about anything and everything, right? This one is really random, but oh wells. Do you find that as people grow older, they tend to be less picky about the food they eat? I mean I know I do. I was walking with my brother yesterday at this Pasar Malam at Junction 8 and he was like "Jie! Durians!". Which&amp;nbsp;got me thinking. Some people really hate durians right? But some might change their minds and love durians in the end, won't they? This made me recall my hatred towards papaya when I was young. The last time I noticed, babies and kids are really picky about their food and they hate to eat. Or maybe it's just me. I remembered that when I was young, my grandma had to chase me around the house just to get my dinner into my stomach. She tried to play games with me to get me to eat, but when I refused to and hid myself underneath the bed, she whipped out her cane and threatened me. HAHHA. It's just so funny when I think about it again! And then there's always some local Chinese drama airing at 7pm on weekdays, and I would just plop myself down on the sofa and glue myself to the TV for one hour. My grandma would then come to feed me. And as she&amp;nbsp;fed me spoon after spoon,&amp;nbsp;the food would accumulate to form lumps after lumps in my cheeks. (yeah like hamsters :P) and I wouldn't munch or do anything&amp;nbsp;but just kept them there while watching TV. Soon, she would get pretty pissed and would nudge my cheeks, saying "吞！我叫你吞你听到没有？ 要不要我拿藤条你才会吞？！" And then I would start munching again..but then the food just refused to go down my throat. So what did I do? I would regurgitate the half-munched food back onto the plate (gross right) while making a stupid face. Then that's it. I would run around to escape from her, trying to hide behind my grandpa or my aunt, hoping that they might save me from my demise. Well, more often than not they would, but at times I would just be like a little fishie running straight into the mouth of an electric eel. They would catch hold of me while my grandma, the shark, approaches to force feed me again. haha. Those were the days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh what was I saying about papayas? Oh yes. My mom was trying to get me to eat papaya one day and it was ok until I threw up everything on her. She started scolding me and I was actually laughing. So mean right? But I found it really funny! You know how sometimes you fall down from the bike and it hurts so bad that you cry; but at the same time you actually laugh because it's so silly that you fell? That's what happened to me one day when I was cycling with my friends at East Coast Park in Secondary school. It occurred again last year when I fell into an open drain. I just sat there, laughing and crying, laughing and crying; and the passerbys stopped, stared, and probably thought that I was a lunatic. Ok, I think I'm beginning to sound a little retarded again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday was Andy and Pearlyn's wedding. Quite cute, the both of them. Can't believe that they actually dated for 8 years! That's a really long time. My parents dated for two years and got married after that. And they were quite young! But anyway, wherever I went, people would ask me "Hey Charmaine, so when are you leaving?" Crap. I hate it. I kinda didn't want a lot of people to know except the few close friends that I so love and treasure, but dang. Thanks to KSoh and his advertisement on facebook. And each time they asked, my heart kinda sank. The truth is, I don't want to leave. The thought of leaving makes me feel so terrible and sick, but I know I cannot avoid it because as each day passes, it only draws nearer and nearer. I will miss my friends who really cared for me; even bothered to listen to my complains/grumbles through the night even to the next day, my beloved grandma, grandpa and aunt, who treated me like their own daughter. I really really..I don't know..I don't want to go..if it's just for studies then I'm fine with it, but if it's for good...I can't bear that thought..Deep down, I've got this feeling that after my studies, I'll return to Singapore for good, even if I'll be apart from my immediate family which will be residing in Australia..I just..Ok, I really need to stop..I&amp;nbsp;think I'm going to cry now..keyboard's already quite damp. *Pauses and breathes deeply*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Haha. I just noticed that this post is one of the most emo ones. HAHA. Well, how else would I or any other person experience joy and happiness if they didn't know emo, or sorrow right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I just wrote some lyrics to a song. I really don't know how to write lyrics; I've always only written the melody, harmony and rhythm to the lyrics provided (as in when I was studying Music in school). So, I think this is a rather "ermz" attempt, but yeah. I kinda just wrote it the way I write in my blog; just churning out whatever I am thinking or feeling. You may find it's rather prose-like, and it is because I am having this conversation to the listeners/audience of this piece of music. And the audience happens to be you, my dear friends. Yeah, I'm serious. So I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. Or at least survive through it without letting your ears bleed haha. But be honoured k! I haven't written songs to particular people before, so this is my first attempt. This is just a draft, they may contain a bit of rhymes but they don't really have rhythm. In fact, like what I said, you can just read them like it's some text from a novel. But I have plans to divide into sections (like verse, chorus etc). Nope, I didn't go straight up to my boss and just blurt out "I want to resign!", but all I did was to rush ALL THE TITLE DEEDS LEFT. So now I'm officially jobless because there is nothing else left for me to do! I know I could have taken a longer time but noo, I'm not that heartless and it's great that I have my freedom back! The great thing is that I can go back to work once they have more title deeds to be done - which I hope isn't so soon because I have yet to savour my holidays yet haha.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to change my blogskin because it doesn't automatically fill in the date for me ): I know, I used to design my own websites and code them with html/javascript blah blah myself but I'm just too lazy to learn how to do so for blogspot. I might though, when I find that I'm free enough (: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh and I did I tell you? One Tuesday, I was arranging the documents as usual for the clients and banks respectively and I accidentally stapled to documents to my jacket -.- haha yeah it was so lame that everyone in the office started laughing at me. I mean, I had to ask someone else to help me remove it since i couldn't do it myself right? And that's it. One person laughs, and the whole office, or world, laughs with you. diao. It was just a rich striking red with the 2 white flowers on each toe. Then KSoh asked if I could do a watermelon looking design. So I took a gamble and did this! haha I was lazy to remove the old base so I just left it on. This design also fits the Christmas theme, with the red and greens together, doesn't it? Yay! (:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;And one more random thing: I want my parents to quickly sell this stupid big house! Firstly, it's such a liability, and secondly, it's crazy to do household chores when you have no freaking maid! Oh what happened to the maid, you ask? Well she kindly abused the dog for me when I was away in Melbourne/Canberra for two weeks, and landed the dog in the hospital. She didn't feed, bathe, clean her, I think she even abused her physically. And how did I get news about it? Through my lovely aunt who visits whenever she has time off her hectic schedule to check on the house. She said that my dog was so sick that she couldn't lift her eyes up to look at my aunt, and that she was so scrawny that my aunt was able to pic her up using only one hand.&amp;nbsp;She's so frail to the point that when you hold her ribcage, you can actually hear her internal organs moving and her heart beating. And that's how bad it was. And given my temper, I would have shouted at the maid and made sure she'd have a hard time. But then my mom decided to send her off and did so last Saturday. It made the last few days with her a hell for me. I almost couldn't resist the temptation to do all the horrible things I conjured up in my mind towards her. Come on, the whole ouse was filled with beetles' dung, cockroaches, dog poo, ants, all sorts of shit you can name. And guess what's the best part? She called my uncle up saying how she's so miserable working here, and she wants to go home immediately. (She called my uncle cuz he's the only one that can converse fluently in Bahasa) So while she's crying pitifully and putting up a fantabulous drama, we were cluelessly holidaying in Australia until I received a call from my aunt, which ruined my whole holiday. Seriously, she's such a twit. When we were about to send her off, she told my mom, "Mdm, I'm sorry, let me stay, I want to work here!" My mom was like "Yeah, and you'll be an illegal immigrant." HAHA. Nice. But now, it's us and the household chores. Uggh. I hate doing household chores. But it's not that bad since it's the holidays. I still remembered in the beginning of last year how we changed maid after maid after maid and I was the one responsible for almost everything. I was like THE maid. Especially for my brother. Wahh. Even have to prepare his socks and shoes, and be his freaking alarm clock. I CAN'T TAKE IT NO MORE!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My parents are thinking of sending me over in February next year to be with my brother and take care of him while he starts his school term over in Canberra. They are trying to persuade me to go for the earlier intake in March too, supposed I go to ANU. NO SHIT. After what IB has done to me, ruined my life, my body (yeah, it made me fattttt), my everything, I need a loonnnngg break please. And NO ONE IS GOING TO STEAL IT FROM ME. NO ONE. NOT INCLUDING MY PARENTS. So that's that. Period. And I ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY TOTALLY FREAKING DON'T WANT TO STAY WITH MY BROTHER IN A BLOODY APARTMENT AND BE HIS MARIA/FATIMAH. I'm going to stay in a hostel, while he's going to be with a foster family. Please don't say I'm heartless/cruel. I have to be a teeny-weeny bit selfish for myself this time. Yeah, my parents will come up with the argument "He's our one and only son" but let me tell you, even if they don't treat me as their one and only daughter (which they actually should) then I would have to value my one and only life! Goodness. He has to be independent. I'm not going to do the cooking, cleaning, washing crap all for him while he parties and have fun. He's such a slacker, and I know it. So if you want him to gain independence, then let him go. He's their responsibility, not mine. Come on, he's not my son! I mean, yeah he's my brother but I'm not going to take care of him all my life. Go get him a wife! -.- Ok. I realised how angsty and anal I sounded but well. It's true, I've been stressed and pissed at my parents forcing me to do things against my will like forever. So I've decided. I will go to uni in August. I will not stay with my brother. I will stay in a hostel and experience TRUE UNI LIFE. And I MAY NOT WANT TO STAY IN AUSTRALIA PERMANENTLY CUZ I LOVE SINGAPORE. I really do. I will miss every single thing about this place if I ever should go anywhere else to study. Why? I know this is like the most 'diao' thing anyone with a proper working brain might do, but well, I got a job. I GOT A JOB! 2 days right after 18 November, the last exam paper I had. Who in the right mind would do that right? And to think that I actually would follow the "To-do" list I tabulated before IB. Bummer. On top of that, I've been asked quite a couple of times to resign. No, not by my boss; she loves me (: haha, but by my beloved friends instead. I want to go out with them, go crazy, shop, watch movies, watch dramas etc etc but I can only do so after 6pm ): My working hours are pretty flexible. Don't want to come, don't come.&amp;nbsp;Want to do then do lah! So what exactly am I doing? Well basically I'm doing title deeds for a law firm. Yup, mortgages, caveat, transfers..blah blah blah. And I think it's quite fun! I mean, at least it's not as stressful as IB itself, and definitely less stressful then staying at home thinking about THE RESULTS. And wow, I'm earning an income! At least I've got some moolah to spare when I'm going shopping or something. The thing is, I'm working now and my friends are playing now. I was thinking: hey, maybe after working for a few months I can use the money to go do whatever I want! But then in a few months time, I'll be playing and my friends may be bored to tears, so it's their turn to go find a job. By that time, I'll have no one to play with!! Boohoo. Yeah. Meanwhile. Oh yes. I forgot to apologize for not blogging in a realllllyyy long time. Aiya pardon this poor office girl please. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, life as an office girl has its perks too. Especially during lunch. First, you get to explore the many yummy food places in the CBD. Well, my office is at Telok Ayer and the nearest and most popular is the Amoy Street food centre. That place is packed full of good food. And the prices are very attractive too. And I can safely say that most of the food is cheaper than the ones sold in school. So yeah. I've tried quite a number of new kinds of food, for example, have you heard of 'ko ko noodles'? It's some Teochew dish. Pity I didn't take a picture of it, but oh wells, who does it when you're in a company of 30+, 40+ aged aunties? (sorry :P) But yeah. And today I tried 'Thunder tea rice', literally translated from lei cha fan in Mandarin. It's supposed to be a healthy Hakka dish, and well, being a Hakka, how can I not try some of the food that my ancestors 'invented'? So how's it healthy? Firstly, it's full of different kinds of vegetables. NO MEAT. Wow I've turned vegetarian today! haha. It's not that icky as in sounds, you know. It's quite tasty, if you ask me. And it comes with this green coloured soup that is peppered with a thousand and one herbs. You can smell them! It's supposed to aid your digestion; good for people like me with a troubled tummy. I mean, it actually helps with my gastric! haha. So yeah. And after that, I took a gamble and bought beetroot juice; something that I've not tasted before. And it's quite nice! Tasted a little like carrot, apple juice, yet a bit like pear and grapes. Ok, that's a rather weird combination but it really can't be described using mere words. Go try it yourself!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apart from that, I went bead shopping last Saturday and bought $60 worth of beads. I know, but now I've got to find the time to go bead, if not I would have just wasted my money and time! Really looking forward to doing something I really like during the holidays,&amp;nbsp;but for now, I've just got make sure that everything I send to the banks and clients are&amp;nbsp;correct, verified, if not, I'd be killed. Anyway, just wanted to post something here before the start of IB exams. Hmm. So let's start. Yesterday I was asked to lead cell. Totally IMPROMPTU. Kara had to go preach at Teens, Aunty Sharon's supposed to run off somewhere, and I had an enormous albeit privileged task of leading my cellmates in discussion. I think it was not bad, everyone contributed with their ideas. At least I wasn't the only one talking. haha. The topic was on prayer, and what better time to talk about it than now, where the need for prayer is so evident.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 more days, 2 more days!! &lt;i&gt;God I really need you now. Please help me to overcome this huge obstacle; this obstacle that I have to go through in order to get to the next big thing in line for me - uni. Help me not to feel tired through all the studying, but help me to soar on wings like eagles, not having the slightest feeling of being weary. I pray this prayer for all my friends out there who are trying their very best in this last lap of this race, and God, just be with them. And Lord, if it is your will, may you grant us the desires of our hearts, as you promised to prospoer us according to your riches. The librarian waived my library fine!! Whoohoo! And you know what, she was the meaner one of the two, and I was so surprised because when I return my books late, she would usually give me a earful but this time, it went something like this...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Girl ah, why you didn't return your books on time?"&lt;br /&gt;"Err, because I wanted to return yesterday (which was the date due) but when I came here, the library was closed (*sulks plus act cute buay cute plus give puppy eyes*)"&lt;br /&gt;"...Ok lah. I waive your fine this time."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OOH! The librarian loves meee! I'm so happeee. I think I'm going crazeee. This thing has a rhyme scheemmme. lol. Whatever.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I haven't switched on my dear laptop for eons, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive something in my inbox. I had a letter of thanks (wah, sounds like what Drong would say when some year 1/2 class helped out in Christalite (sp?) Methodist Home) from a classmate who also happens to be a close friend. I gave a gift to my classmates some number of days before school closed, which well, appears to be the reason for me receiving this email. Quite touching. I'm going to cry. No one's been so appreciative of me before. I think I can go MediaCorp. Okay, I'm joking. But I do appreciate this very much. Jia yous, peng yuu!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sheesh. Looks like it's back to mugging. Know something? For some reason I don't feel as stressed as I think I'm supposed to. I don't feel as stressed as I was during the 'O' levels. Whyyys. I hope it's like that for a very very good reason, which I happen to not know. diaos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After IB! I'm going on the DOULOS!! Yeah! I'm going to work, save up money, go on a ship that sails across the world to help the less fortunate and tell them that God loves them! I can't wait! Well, there was an improvement from the mid-years, but well, it's still not good. Gotta work harder! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I'm going out later with Sheena, XQ and a few of their friends. Will show XQ my papers later, need helppp, haha. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, what exactly have I been doing these few days? Well, besides trying to study, I've also been listening to a lot of oldies. Ok, one of them isn't exactly an oldie, but it's released before 2000. Nice right?&amp;nbsp;Brings back memories. It's stuck in my head since yesterday!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There's another one over here. It's Mando-pop (Yes it's Chinese.), and it's in the 50's! Cool right? I heard this on a Taiwan variety show 麻辣天后宫, which is hosted by 利菁. The contestants were supposed to dress and make up like their favourite artists (who does not need to be Taiwanese/Chinese) and perform an item to mimic them to the best of their abilities. The best performance happened to be the one put up by 宋新妮，who imitated 欧阳菲菲 the best. It was so hilarious because the original singer had huge eyes, a ramrod straight nose, and pouty swollen lips. What 宋新妮 did was to put thick thick thick eyeliner, drew black rings around her nostrils (she looked a bit like a lunatic), and had swollen clownish lips. Oh my goodness, you can't imagine how long I laughed for. But her performance was very convincing. Anyway, here's the original video. The quality isn't very good, (50's, remember?), but yeah. Went shopping with granny later in the afternoon at Sembawang Shopping Centre (SSC). I wanted to show her Daiso, my favourite Japanese "Always $2" shop. She didn't believe it so I had to take her there. Well, of course she ended buying more stuff than me :P I bought a blue nail polish, some crackers (Yes, for you dear Kat)&amp;nbsp;and some glitter powder for some art design I intend to embark on after exams. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later in the evening, I met 6 of the drama folks in school. We were going to the Night Safari for their Halloween special. Elvie, Monkey, Slut (haha), Pervert, Anan, Tim and I paid damn a lot for this maxi cab to get to the Night Safari.&amp;nbsp;I told myself that I would not be scared by anything but some Tin man jumped behind me and shouted, causing me to scream real loud -.- We took loads of photos too and their on facebook. Will post them here later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was really fun, and we were 'scared' by the crew that dressed up as ghostly characters while on the scary tram (Which we had to pay and extra $3 to get on). Monkey got pinched by a dead Snow white if I wasn't wrong, haha. We then decided to go on the trail that we took by tram this time on foot, and we tried to get scared by staff. Okay, I admit that I was kinda scared, I don't know for what reason. There was this guy who was camouflaged with the grass he was lying on and he totally scared me when he screamed and hopped right out! Goodness me. After that we just basically wandered around until we got real thirsty and decided that paying $8 for a drink is totally not worth it at all -.- So we got on this SaEX bus, and express bus that brings you to Little India, Orchard MRT station and some other stations for $4. So cheap hor. And yeah, then we walked around until we reached a 7-Eleven outside Taka where I bought a $2.10 Gulp of Ice Lemon Tea with no ice (The ice ran out, you see.) Yup. I then hurriedly rushed home in order to catch the last bus so that I can save my ears from something I do not want to hear.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today! We went to Bernice's house for Chill-out after Youth Ablaze. Her parents were superrr nice. They prepared steamboat for us with so much ingredients that even with Uncle KK, there were still loads of leftovers. We then played this game called Dinosaur or something like that, where we had to get 8 cards of the same number. To achieve that, we&amp;nbsp;are allowed to&amp;nbsp;trade the same number of cards with someone else on the condition that the cards you trade are either of the same number or suite. I won twice in a row! :P haha. And cuz I wanted to trade 2 cards and since everyone was shouting at everyone else, I started to scream '2' using falseto, and Uncle KK was like "Wah you very noisy leh!" Lol.&amp;nbsp;Oh yeah, and the first person who got your complete set would quietly reach for one of the pens laid out in front of you, and everyone else is supposed to follow suit. The person who does not have a pen (because all are taken) would have to do a forfeited decided by the person who has the complete set. Kara and Jui Wei had a huge lip drawn on their faces using lipstick, Uncle KK has a red nail polished toenail, and Adam has a bright pink pinky now (: They're supposed to keep it on until next week! ((:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We then adjourned to Bernice's super neat bedroom with a King sized bed. Yes, must stress on that haha. Bernice is the authority when it comes to nail art man. She has experience working as&amp;nbsp;a manicurist before and she has truckloads of nail polishes in her room. An entired chess of drawers used to store nail stuff and TWO full drawers storing her entire collection of nail polishes. She's da pro! She was so kind as to do Kara's fingernails and my toenails. I will post a picture of it soon. She used acrylic to paint flowers on for me! Sooo cute! Oh yeah, I also helped Sheena to paint this super 80s' look, with polka dots on a dark blue base.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, super tired now. Going to take a shower then hit the sack. Finally the last paper's over! And I think I committed one too many stupid mistakes, and hence I decided not to follow my friends out for a movie outing. Well, not entirely because of that, but also because I was tired. I then headed over to AMK to meet my granny. Went to eat some stuff, buy some groceries and all. Oh! And I bought my favourite Sen Soh grass jelly drink at the supermart, which comes in a pack of 6. You have no idea how much I love it; you can ask my friends - I drink it at every opportunity I can! He posted a link with a title "Wanton disrespect for another school" that directs readers to the Stomp forums. Little Miss Kay-poh me with itchy fingers and a tired brain decided to go&amp;nbsp;read the ENTIRE THREAD from top to bottom and realised that it was an utter waste of my damn precious time and resulted in me laughing like some hyena non-stop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Being a hot-headed person, I was so inclined to posting. But one has got to get the whole context before doing anything, and so, I patiently read through every single post. And I came to the conclusion that I WAS WASTING MY TIME.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Aiyo. If you're so free, go watch Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It's better that way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I mean seriously, after reading it, I feel kinda ashamed associated to these people. The thread reveals&amp;nbsp;some imposters, liars, self-righteous people that appear to be protecting the&amp;nbsp;organization all in the name of pride but end up shooting themselves in their heads. And on top of that, they make themselves look worse in front of the other school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't click on that link people; not now, but you can take a look when you're free. (Like after prelims or even better, IB, if you're a yr 6/JC 2&amp;nbsp;student)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But well, it was quite entertaining and fun while it lasted. It brought some cheer into my rather sad life now, since I got nothing to laugh at while mugging. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh yeah, that thread also brought up some old scandal regarding an MP's daughter posting some not so sensitive opinion about people. Quite fun to read up on also; must know your history of scandals right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lalala. Yup, this blog is brand new. Why do people keep blogs? There are several reasons; the one being the most obvious is that they use it as an online diary where they post their daily happenings and all, so that friends can keep in touch with them. And that's why I have this blog! Blogs can be used as an online platform for your small business too. There are so many blogshops now that it's driving me dizzy. Instead of going out to shop for clothes/accessories, all you have to do now is just sit back, relax, and use your fingers to do the "walking".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So! From the name of this blog, you may think that I'm a rather narcissistic person. Heh, well yeah, the title of the blog is taken from part of my name :P And it makes sense right, since everything on this blog will mostly talk about me. I mean most blogs talk about their owners right? Now that we've established that, let me tell you why I decided to start this blog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;This blog started officially on 25 Sept 2009. I did it because I wanted to keep in touch with the many friends that I have met, am meeting and going to meet. And because I may not have the chance to talk to them again in person, I don't want to totally lose contact with them at all. And why this sudden pensiveness, you may ask. The thing is, in May this year, my mom applied for an Australian PR. It was approved in September, which was the fastest approved application the agency has ever seen. So in order to ensure that you retain your PR, you have to stay there for 2 years within the next 5 years from the date of approval. Since this is the last year of my IB course, I have gotta think of which universities I want to go to; no, which course I want to study first. And well, it seems like Australia is the route right now for me because technically, I kill two birds with a stone by living there and studying there at the same time. So there you have it, I'm moving over real soon, which is a little sudden for me, because I planned to spend more time with my friends; catch up with them over the holidays once the exams are over.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Actually, I haven't really told anyone about this in detail except to a few close buddies. And that's because firstly, this really wasn't confirmed, secondly, I didn't have time to explain everything to the dot, and lastly, I was kinda running away from this. I thought that it wouldn't come so soon; I thought that I had such a long time to decide about things, and I really thought that I would never have to leave Singapore so soon. Well, looks like I'm terribly wrong because from the look of things, I'm sort of destined to be there next March. March 2010.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;As I'm writing this, I'm actually in the midst the IB prelims, which I'm so terribly unmotivated about. No matter what, I know I can't lose focus and I still have got to do well this November. But I'm quite uneasy about the plan my dad has. Why next March? Because I need to go over first and "prepare the place" - he doesn't want both my brother and I to end up there like two blur blocks, so he's sending me there first, to await the arrival of my brother in June, where my parents will pull my bro out of school. Then, I will have to enroll him into school and wait till August to do the same for myself. From March to August, I'm basically free. I can do whatever I want. But what about from March to June? I'm going to be freaking alone. ALONE IN THE CANBERRIAN HOLE. No friends, cuz I'm not in school yet. I have to cook, clean, wash - all by myself. I'm kinda hesitant about it. Well, I mean yeah, it's fun thinking about all the things I could do. Probably get a job, learn driving, yadayada but all alone. I hate being alone - especially for long periods of time. Alone in an unfamiliar place. Alone in an area where you are most likely to be considered a second-class citizen, where racism actually exists. It's not Singapore anymore. I've come to realize that I've taken everything for granted. I was actually having a conversation with Gareth (yeah, the perverted cellist), and he said something like "well, it's time you get independent so that a guy can depend on you". Well, fat hope SIA. Go depend on your mom (oops) Oh and I was complaining to him and he was like "Hmm, you can't bring a guy over - he has NS" HAHA. Seriously, Gareth X_X Yupppzzzz.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Anyway, now that you know why this blog exists, right? I'm going to use this to communicate with my family and friends all over the world. Oh yes, what about my parents, right? Well, they're staying in Singapore all the way until the last 2 years of the 5 years. They've got things to do in Singapore still, and therefore, I must take on the brave responsibility of being a big sister to my brother (: He will cook, and I will clean, because I'm scared of fire (: I can bake HORR.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;This December hols is going to be an ultra busy one for me. I've gotta learn how to cook (CHINESE FOOD! HERBAL SOUPS!), wash my clothes, iron them, do household chores and everything you can imagine a housewife doing (HAHAHA NO IM NOT GOING TO BE ONE) And that's not all, because I still have a to-do list to to-do after IB! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Note to self - Stuff to do after IB:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Get back with God!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Jewellery designing (online store)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Crafting (clay)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Sewing (little cute stuff, and clothes as well)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Shopping (Duh)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Jian fei! (Of course, those thunderous elephant thighs)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Nail art - Designing fake nails (ahh - another business opportunity!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Chilling with friends&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Travelling!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Creating videos on Youtube&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;-Crocheting, and making stuff toys! (my own invented characters as well as cute pokemon too!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;and to top off the list, household chores -.-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;HAHA. Hence, dear reader, I will keep you updated with how I manage to accomplish these (Yes I know will and I shall) by posting regularly with pictures (: How nice. (This is going to be a challenge for me because I can ignore my blog for a year or so. First post of the blog! ...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Today, I went out with my aunt and my brother to Shokudo, the Japanese restaurant that has the same concept as Marche. It's in Raffles City and wow, the food's quite good! The price is reasonable and when I say reasonable, you've gotta trust me because I'm the most 'giam-kana' person in whole 'giam-kana' world. I mean it; when I say it's cheap, it most probably is. So, it's worth checking that place out! Well..ehhem..the first hour waiting for me and the second...talking non stop. Yeah I was late cuz I met them later. YUM! there's potatoes, onions, beef, as well as Japanese dong-fen. Dong-fen's supposed to be made from green beans that the high quality ones are. The ones you get from China are well, no offense, more of a powdery texture cuz they use flour and starch and whatnots. But this is gooood!
